Apple Inc. will hold its big conference for technology developers Monday morning with a keynote presentation that should end months of speculation about key hardware and software initiatives, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The announcements — slated to take place in San Francisco — are expected to include the next version of Apple’s operating system for iPhones and iPads and updates to the company’s MacBook portable computers.

The WSJ reports says late last week, Apple put up an “iOS 6” banner at the convention center hosting the event.
